Welcome to Dr. Mac Consulting

Thank you very much for visiting my site.

My name is Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus. I'm a computer columnist for the Houston Chronicle, a complete and total Mac geek, and the author of 60+ books including Mac OS X Lion for Dummies, iPhone for Dummies, Incredible iPhone Apps For Dummies, iPad for Dummies, and dozens more. For the past 25 years Apple products have been my passion, so I couldn't be more excited to tell you that I now offer consulting services right from this Web site. If you need troubleshooting, training, or technical support for your Mac, you've come to the right place.

My mission is to provide expert technical help and training, in real time and at reasonable prices, via telephone, e-mail, iChat AV, and/or Internet-enabled remote control software we affectionately refer to as making a mouse call.

More about us

My Senior Agent-in-Charge, Pat Fauquet and I both maintain blogs and update them regularly... (hers more regularly than mine).

By the way, Pat may be the best Mac and iOS troubleshooter I’ve ever met. But don’t take my word for it -- here’s what one of our beloved clients had to say:

Pat was so patient and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I don't have many problems with my Mac, but when I do she will be the lady I call.

We also post occasional “tweets” on Twitter...
